Establishment of the committee:
The decision of the Council of ministers No. 261 was issued at its meeting held on February 5, 2018, to adopt the national strategy for the Prevention of trafficking in Persons and smuggling of migrants, and to instruct the Ministry of justice to coordinate with the Ministry of foreign affairs to implement the national fight against human trafficking in cooperation with the concerned authorities.
In order to implement the decision of the Council of ministers, the minister of Justice issued ministerial decisions on the formation and nomination of the members of the National Standing Committee on the implementation of the national strategy for the Prevention of human trafficking and smuggling of migrants headed by the minister of justice and the membership of the concerned national authorities as follows :

Terms of reference of the committee:
The committee is responsible for the implementation of the national strategy for the Prevention of trafficking in Persons and smuggling of migrants
One of the most important tasks of the committee is to implement the vision and objective of the state of Kuwait contained in the national strategy to prevent trafficking in Persons and smuggling of migrants, and they are:
Vision
Kuwait is free of and Against Trafficking in Persons and smuggling of migrants, and a society aware of the dangers of this phenomenon is seeking to eliminate it.
Objectives
Implement the provisions of Law No. 91 of 2013 on Combating Trafficking in Persons and smuggling of migrants, and the relevant international agreements in an optimal manner by combining the efforts of all relevant ministries, bodies and institutions and promoting joint action.
Develop the necessary measures to protect and assist the victims of the crimes of trafficking in Persons and smuggling of migrants, and activate means of national, regional and international cooperation to combat these crimes.
